Composer, performer, recording artist.
From city streets to soundtracks and major stages, Swedish-born Andy Salvanos is considered one of the world’s leading stylists on the 10-string Chapman Stick. Now based in Australia, Andy performs at events such as the National Folk Festival, the Cygnet Folk Festival, and the acclaimed Adelaide International Guitar Festival, among others.
With six solo albums to his credit, including his latest release "Transform", Andy’s music continues to evolve and find new listeners, showcasing an accessible style that defies categorisation. The multitude of influences prompted one reviewer to call it “the sound of the world”.
Along the way, Andy has opened for Canadian singer Jane Siberry, been recognised by local and international press, received award-nominations, built a world-wide audience (including high profile musicians) from street performing, and produced music for film and visual media.
